Science May 25 Hands on and June 4 written
Taconic Outdoor Education trip is coming quickly. We go on May 30th 31st and June 1. Thanks to those who have given in all the paperwork already. If you volunteered to chaperone, I will be calling you to confirm the details.
In reading , we just finished our poetry unit and are beginning a unit on graphic novels.
In writing, we just finished a content area writing piece on the American Revolution. Click on the link to check them out.
In math, we just ending our unit on fraction and decimals. We should be taking our unit test at the end of the week after vacation.
In science, we learned about simple machines. We are doing hands on experiments to show how simple machines make work easier. We are then breaking up into groups and researching our simple machines in books and on the internet. We produced paper slide videos and we let you know when you can view them. We are now reviewing concepts and vocabulary to prepare for the NYS Science Assessment. Please see my science page for a great vocabulary link.
In social studies, we are learning about how our government formed.
