Welcome to PVMS!!  We are the home of nearly 600 students in grades 5 through 8. We take pride in the fact that we help transition students from their elementary setting and prepare them to be successful in high school, truly being "in the middle." Our dedicated and caring staff functions in a team setting utilizing a modified flexible block schedule. In addition to our Core programs of English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies all students are enrolled in our Encore programs. Encores include Foreign Language, Health, Art, Band, Chorus, General Music, Physical Education, Technology, Problem Solving and Forensics.

We offer a full array of clubs and activities both before and after school hours. We also have an active intramural and modified sports program.

Our Middle School is actively involved in a 1 to 1 Laptop program. Specifically, the program allows for every 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grader to have their own laptop computer with 7th and 8th graders able to bring it home to complete homework assignments and projects.

We take pride in the fact that we have been recognized by Apple as “A School Profiled for Success”, and we are a 2010-11 “Apple Distinguished School.”  We have presented our success at regional conferences and most notably at the National Middle School’s National Conference in Baltimore, MD.  We believe our technology program helps our students to be competitive in the 21st century workforce.

As a school, we are very involved with recycling, and are evolving into a paperless building.
